I love these pictures of right before we opened our presents on Christmas Eve. I think they say so much about each kid and their personalities. Well, except for Kenz, I guess. She was on a little bit of a "really tired and a little too much sugar" high. Danny gave her a sucker to try to pacify her and get her to stop crying while we were getting ready to open presents. So it worked, but he forgot to think about how she would react when he took it away. She was pretty upset at the whole situation, but she got over it when the wrapping paper starting getting tossed around.
It was a fun Christmas and I got spoiled, as usual. Santa, or should I say Danny Claus, got me a sweet new sewing machine and a printer too. Now if I only had more time to use them. :)
You probably don't hear this very often...but I'm Jealous!!! I have 4 kids and always love to see big families...makes me want more:) Your kids are adorable and the photos you're journaling are fabulous!
Could your kids look any more perfect on Christmas Morning...love their Jammies and Karstens face! I also love the pic of you and Jamie in the previous post...make me miss you guys!
You know some people say they look just like their dad, and some people say they look just like their mom, but everyone agrees that they all look alike. I guess they just must be a NEVA STUART MIX.
That's me. Mom. Just like I always wanted to be. A mom. A super mom, no less. Six kids later I realize that being a mom is the hardest thing I've ever done, and super certainly doesn't happen very often. There're no All-State Honors, no A grades given, no pictures in the paper or stats on how many diapers you changed in one day. No rewards if you can get your kids to eat their veggies, and you know, there really is nothing to say that you are doing your job as a good mom or not. And so you get to choose... okay, good, great or awesome. Me, I'm probably just okay. That's a tough one for me to swallow when I've always excelled in everything I've done. So I've found that the key is to start each day and give it your best, knowing that your awards will come in happy smiles, hugs with sticky hands, and "I love yous" that melt your heart. And you know, I guess there really could be no better award than those big brown eyes looking at you with love. So though it is hard, very hard, I just take it one smile, one hug and ONE DAY AT A TIME.

I think that picture of Karsten explains Christmas morning better than any words could. I love it!
Can't wait to hang out at the ballfields again this weekend. I hope the weather is like it was yesterday and not today! :)
