Lagoon Fun

We had a fun time at Lagoon to finish out our vacation. The weather was overcast most of the day, so it kept it nice and cool. The kids enjoyed the rides. Kambrie was a little dare devil and went on every ride that she could. Ky got us soaked by begging to go on this water ride that in the end he said "wasn't worth it." I agreed. Kolter was a little bummed because he couldn't go on all the rides that he wanted to like the bigger kids, but he and Karsten did have fun on the airplanes and the flying things with guns on them. Kenz did pretty good, as long as I held her...nice. (Why did I bring the stroller? Oh yeah, to hold the blow up bats that Ky won at the baseball booth, all three of them. Good thing Danny only paid $1 at the basketball booth instead of $5 when he made the shot. Otherwise we surely wouldn't have had room to carry the huge basketball instead of the lame little stuffed tiger. Oops! Kyler was so sad)

All in all it was a fun day, ending just in time as the rain began pouring down just as Danny shut the car door after we ran to the car to avoid the rainstorm that we saw coming when we noticed the dark clouds on the horizon.

This was the favorite ride of the day. The kids kept going on it over and over. Luckily the line wasn't ever very long and it always went really fast.

We've Gone Country...

Okay, so we wish. Anyway, today we had a very fun, unexpected visit to the Mays in Layton. I just happened to text my good friend from college, Tana, who I haven't seen in almost two years, who lives in Wisconsin. Well, turns out she is home visiting her family for a month. Our motel just happened to be less than a half hour from their home, so of course, we went to visit.

It was so much fun for me to go back there. I have fun memories of great times back in the good old Dixie Days with Tana and being at her house with her family. So it was fun to take Danny and the kids there and let them experience it too.

They got to ride a horse and feed the horses too. They all LOVED it so much, and Kyler has decided that we are selling everything and moving out on a ranch. He says Dad said it's okay. Hmmm, we'll see I guess. Montana, here we come ;)

Seven Peaks

Seven Peaks was a lot of fun for us. The kids really liked the pools and the slides. They were brave enough to go on the scary ones too. Even Kenz enjoyed the sun and water and was a good baby the whole day. Karsten got saved by a lifeguard from the lazy river (second time he's almost drowned in one week!!)Ky rode slide after slide all day long. The weather was perfect and no sunburns. Hooray!

Campin Out

This is how you fit a family of seven in one motel room :)

Summer Days at the River

One of our favorite things to do when the weather gets hot is cruise down the dirt road, in the pink jeep, with the music turned up. And where do we go? To the river to cool off a little.

We took the all the little Stuart cousins there the other day. They all had so much fun...makin' memories. Sweet summer fun at the river :)

Spending Time in the ER...Again!

Our Kolter is so accident prone. Kinda like I was when I was little. A few months ago we had to take him to the Emergency Room to get the antenna of a remote control car out of the back of his throat. It was hooked back there kind of like a fish hook. Yeah, that was fun. At least they got us right in and took care of the problem right away. What a weird situation. Don't ask me how he got it stuck. I guess he just had it in his mouth or something. Anyway, so as if one trip to the ER a year isn't enough, accident boy had to go again when he slipped off of a pogo stick, splitting his lip wide open. This time we weren't as lucky with the quick visit, and hours later he left with three stitches in his lip and some glue to seal the cut on his chin. Poor Kolter. At least he's a tough little boy and handled it all really well.
